I've always known I wanted to make a difference in people's lives. While studying speech pathology, I took an Intro to Audiology course, and it just felt like me. I knew then I'd found my passion.
One of the things I enjoy most about the field of audiology is the opportunity to work closely with patients, getting to know their specific needs and providing the kind of care that impacts their lives.
I was working with a delightful gentleman one day, getting his hearing aid fitted for him, and as often happens, he was astounded by what he was able to hear. He looked at me with tears in his eyes. When I asked him what was wrong, he said he just couldn't wait to go home and hear his wife's voice.
After stints in Arizona, Alabama and VIrgina as a military wife, I'm so happy our family has landed in Minnesota. I'm also grateful to be with Oakdale ENT and seeing patients again after a few years of focusing on my kids as my husband fulfilled multiple overseas deployments.
On my days off, you'll likely find me walking our dog out on the trails, cheering at my kids' swim meets, or up North swimming, fishing, or just hanging out by the lake.
